Lakme Fashion Week: Winter Festive 2016

What a huge success Lakme Fashion Week was. This has been one of the first fashion weeks that has given us continuously good Fashion this year. From elegance and grandeur to simplistic and modern looks, Lakme Fashion Week Winter Festive 2016 was definitely one not to miss.

Manish Malhotra opened the season with a very floral inspired show. His huge collection has a variety of colour, styles and wear. From lengha style dresses and saris to Menswear, each piece is very unique.

Some other designers that caught my eye all had one thing in common: very feminine and beautiful pieces/collections. Sumona Parekh, Gaurang, Saroj Jalan, Anushree Reddy, Shantanu and Nikhil and SVA presented pieces that alone entices an onlooker to want to see the rest of the collection.

Sabyasachi ended Lakme Fashion Week Winter Festive 2016 with his very traditional and Persian styled collection. His collection oozed a lot of elegance with heavy embroidery, rich fabrics and sophisticated jewellery.
